The Preparation Has Begun

Yesterday the official preparation for the auction of the stuff here at the ranch has begun. The folks from the auction company showed up today. They began with a walk around the place again (3rd time) and we feel that they are a little overwhelmed. I know what they are thinking, I think that every time I walk into some of the buildings. They got to work starting in the cow barn. They are organizing stuff into groups/ packages, etc.

The actual auction will be a online auction sometime in July.

Well some things seen the light of day today for the first time in a long time. Cindy worked her butt off helping them getting stuff out and organized. It was a dusty long day. They will be back this morning.

We got dad on his scooter and he was buzzing around and telling them what a few things were and even he was shocked on a few things, like the number of real old clothes washers, you know the ones with the rubber wringer.s I think the count was six on those.

Cindy and Chad had their snowmobiles stored in the barn and we are needing the space. So Chad made a quick run over and picked them up last evening. Chad still has to work, so he went home Sunday. Fortunately all the machines fired up so that we could run them up on the trailer. So we got him loaded and turned around fairly quickly.

So it was a productive day, but a long ways to go.
