Beautiful Morning

Today is one of those days that is why we moved to Mesquite. It is 69 degrees at 6:13 am not a breath of wind and I am sitting on my patio drinking my coffee watching the sun rise and wishing Jennifer was here with me. It has been a relaxing weekend so far.
In all reality Jennifer would still be in the rack slumbering away. However I might feel brave enough to go wake sleeping beauty to come out and watch the sun rise with me, just because it that nice of a morning.
Friday night was a interesting night. I watched the Pitt vs Virginia Tech game and that was a game that was topsy turvy from the get go. Pitt pulled off the victory when Virginia Tech just missed a field goal that would have won them the game. When I say just missed I am serious it was just missed. That kick will probably be talked about by Virginia Tech folks for years with them saying they were robbed by the officials. Jennifer would have been going apeshit crazy and I could envision her with her back to the screen and her fingers in her ears because she could not watch the kick. I also could envision her laughing and being happy that Pitt won that game.
Immediately following that game the Idaho vs Montana State game came on. That game was equally crazy and unfortunately we were not treated to a victory in that game. Montana State basically gave that game to Idaho. They should have won it, they made some terrible clock management decisions in the fourth quarter. Kudos to the Idaho team though for biting and clawing their way back into the game and going for the win instead of the tie to go into Overtime.
Montana State was playing without several of their top players (including their starting quarterback) who are out with injuries. So they had some inexperienced players on the field and it showed. However, ultimately it was the coaching staff that in my opinion cost them the game because they did not manage the clock well. The game came down to a final play with 1 second on the clock. The MSU head coach called a timeout, and this (in my opinion) was the dagger that cost them the game. That timeout gave Idaho time to get organized and come up with a play to put them in position to win the game. They used that time wisely and the quarterback from Idaho did what he had been doing all night. He burned them with a touchdown pass. Then the Idaho coach made the decision to go for two points and the win vs kicking a field goal. They got it and knocked off the #1 team in the country. This was Idaho’s first win of the season. Bold call by the coach. If they had not made it, he would have probably been packing his bags and looking for a new job. However they did and he and his team walked off the field with a epic victory for the program. It was fun watching him go crazy and almost collapse, when the two point conversion was successful. Again Kudos to them.
My house just got buzzed by a couple of flocks of Donald Ducks (formerly known as Canadian geese). They must have been out for their morning work out before they spend the remainder of the day on the Conestoga golf course dodging little dimpled missiles. They were very noisy as the two V’s flew over in tight formation.
Well I better think about trying to finish my coffee and seeing what dumb shit the Orange moron has done so far today and then figuring out what I am going to do today. The sun is getting closer to coming up and will be shining on my patio shortly. So enough for today. God I wish she was here with me. This is one of the moments that we worked so hard to have.
