One problem resolved!

Yesterday I mentioned that my water heater crapped out and was leaking. I am happy to report that the water heater was replaced as was the Pressure Control Valve which was the cause of the problem with the water softener. I honestly think God and Jennifer had a role in all these repairs happening as fast as they did.

Yesterday, I found the leaking water heater as I was getting ready to leave the house to run some errands. One was an appointment, that I did not want to miss. I just shut the water off and ran and quickly did my errands. I then returned home, and I somehow actually got a hold of the warranty guy (This is where I think God and Jennifer stepped in). Usually, you get a voice mail and they tell you to give them 24-48 hours to respond back to you.

Anyway, I explain the situation and he asks if he could come down to look at the problem. Being the smart aleck that I am, I wanted to say Nah, lets wait 24-48 hours, before you come down. Why break with protocol. For once the smarter me came out and said that would be great. He came down to look at the problem and says he will get back with me. Well he calls back and said the plumber will be out tomorrow. Then about an hour later he calls back and says they actually can get to me today.

Now I am telling myself what will happen is the plumber will show up just to look at the problem and then tell me well we will have to order a water heater and that will probably take a few days you know with Covid it is hard getting stuff. I guess I was just trying to manage my expectations and was making plans on how I would get by for the next several days with no water.

I checked the paper plate, plastic cutlery and Peanut Butter inventory. All of those were adequate. I was extremely thankful again that I was getting the meals from folks, because that meant I did not have to dirty dishes making dinner. I felt I was pretty well positioned to weather the storm. Of course, I could also go out to eat, if needed.

Well once again the good lord and Jennifer surely must have intervened. The plumber showed up with a new water heater and new Pressure Control Valve. He got here at about 4:00 pm and he had me back in business at about 6:00 pm. So now I can just focus on the grieving. Lucky me.

Thank you, Jennifer, for putting in a good word for me with the big guy and getting me back with working indoor plumbing. I think I told you she was quite the gal.
