10 Billion Dollars Pissed Away

I heard a stat about this election cycle that blew me away. Over 10 billion (yes that is a b and not a m) have been spent in political advertising and materials this election cycle. How sad is that? Imagine if that $10 billion had been put into education and healthcare!

Old Elon Musk has spent $276 million compared to something like $250 million something For something like 7 democratic candidate combined. Of course that is just couch money for old Elon. However all this spending just highlights the lengths that both parties will go to so their candidate in.

This election cycle has to be one of the ugliest contests in US history. I look at our local city council elections and it is sickening what individuals (not the candidates) are doing as far as misinformation and smearing of individuals. They are plain and simple some real assholes in this world.

Today I went to a local No Kings protest. Sadly, the turnout was lower than past protests but it was still a good event and we had a lot more honks and thumbs up than during past protests. The white trash army probably couldn’t afford the diesel fuel to come by and harass us as they usually do. There were a few morons that drove by hollering that the Orange asshole was the best President ever. I don’t know what they are smoking but it certainly was not regular tobacco. We had a fun little group and had some good laughs.

My nephew Heath is the mascot for his high school. He is a sophomore at East Helena MT high school. He is entered in a national high school mascot contest. I have reached out to most of Jennifer’s family and my friends and Rotary Club to vote for him. The first round ends today (October 17). His high school mascot is the Vigilante. If you go to the site you can view a short video of Heath in his costume. If you could vote for him that would be great. If not I totally understand.

East Helena is a small community and he is going up against kids from much bigger communities/schools so every vote he can get will be helpful.

Below are the instructions on how to vote for him

I just watched the Montana Grizzlies lose to Idaho. Montana State is up next. They play Eastern Washington today. Hopefully they play better than the Griz did. At the moment I am watching Tennessee beat Alabama 26-10 at the moment.

Well I think I am going to up and putt some. Such a nice day today. I have been sitting on my patio watching these games.
