Wacky Weather

There is not many December's that I can remember waking up in Elk Park and the temperature was above 32 degrees. This morning it was 42 degrees when I woke up. All of the snow we got is pretty much gone. They are forecasting that we have one more day of this warmer weather and then a cold front is going to come in. However, still not the normal cold temps (sub zero) that we typically get during December.
I had a good meeting with Marran yesterday. She is going to take the lace off the dress and get the wedding dress and train dry cleaned to see what can be salvaged. It was stained more than I thought. Like I had mentioned it had been in a bag for 34 plus years. Many of those at Jennifer's parents home and then with us for at least two moves. Like many things, time was not exactly kind to it. Anyway after it gets cleaned we will see what we have to work with and go from there.
I am going to see Marran's sister Danna tomorrow to get my hair cut. I am way overdue, I could possibly be misidentified as a Sasquatch if I got caught roaming around in the wild. It sure is nice having talented folks in the family.
That Amazon commercial with the old ladies sledding was on the TV several times today and it gets me choked up every time. I just flash back to her sledding that day in 2021. It was just so out of character for her. However, I am so thankful she did it, especially since it was her last winter at the ranch.

Well enough for today.
Sure love and appreciate your posts, Joe. The picture of Jen sledding made my day!
Great photo and great memory. Thanks for sharing!
