Valentines Day

I had been dreading today, but it did not turn out as bad as I was expecting. I got up early and picked up my friend Randy at 6:00 am and we headed to Hurricane, UT to play golf at Sky Mountain Golf Course. It is another pretty course and with the snow on the mountains it was beautiful. We had a nice day for golf. I did not play particularly well, but I had fun and enjoyed seeing the course.

We got in home in time for me to play in the 2:00 pm round robin Pickleball event.

Valentines was never a real big day for us. I would get Jennifer a card and usually some type of candy. We would usually go to dinner at a fast food joint (e.g. Whataburger was a favorite). We just were never really into fine dining. We got as much enjoyment going to a fast food place as we did going to a 5 Star restaurant. That was something I loved about her, she never was a keep up with the Jone's type.

My sister Colleen did visit Jennifer's grave today. She stomped out a heart in the snow and put some bird seed around it, so she would hopefully have several little visitors. That was nice of her to do that. As you can see it was pretty snowy there. Colleen said the stone was pretty much covered and she had to brush it off.

Anyway it turned out to not be the day I was dreading and I am thankful for that.
