Time For Myself

Yesterday I took some time to do a few things for myself. I went to town and did a few things for myself. I went to the Tech bookstore and got a new MT Tech flag to fly at the house. The one we have has gotten quite faided by the Mesquite Sun. We did not have time to do that yesterday when we were up at Tech.

Then I went to lunch at the new M&M bar &cafe. I was impressed with the place (it never will be able to replace the original M&M but it is nice) and the burger and fries that I had was very good. I do like how they have kept the kitchen with a counter where you can watch the cooks prepare your meal similar to the old M&M.

Then I ran out to the cemetery to see Jennifer for a few minutes. I dont really stay long, because I don't really get any different feelings when I go. I talk to her all the time anywhere I am at. As I have mentioned for whatever reason I get more emotional and feel closer to her when I am driving alone than when I go to the cemetery. So if you ever happen to see me driving and I have tears running down my cheeks, you know I am visiting with her.

After that I stopped at Walmart to use the restroom and ran into my cousin Pat Ryan. It's always good to see PR. He always has a smile on his face and can brighten your day.

I then met Dave and Barb Searle at the Headframe Distillery for cocktails and a quick visit. I also met Dave and Barbs niece and nephew, the Salo's and their three kids (whom I had met before when Dave's sister Judy had them down playing Pickleball at Stodden park). Unfortunately Dave's sister Judy was not able to make it up, she had gotten a flat tire on her car and was waiting for repair crew to come replace it down by St Ann's Church.

It is always nice to catch up with the Searle's and relive some old memories.

Then I went down to my sister-inlaw's Pat Dysinger's and John Healy's house. It was the first chance that I had to see Pat and John since I have been home. They had a gathering of folks over for Taco's and other delicious finger foods. Jeanne and Rob also stopped by. Also Kate, Sam, Lydia and Teddy were there in their shiny new wheels (Ford Expedition). Unfortunately Sam recently tagged a deer over by Anaconda and totaled his car (Fortunately he was not hurt) but they had to get a replacement vehicle. So Kate is going to drive the Expedition and Sam will drive Kate's car.

I was the last to leave so I was able to have a nice visit with just Pat and John, the first time we were able to do that since Jennifer's passing. Pat and John were so gracious in hosting the family after Jennifer's service and I greatly appreciated that.

All in all it was a very nice day.

Today is going to be busy. The Galbavy's are going to come over and we are going to take the folks on a little ride to Wise River to the Wise River Club. One of Mom and Dads old neighbors (Tim and Danielle Montana and some friends) have recently purchased the club and are now running it. Tim's mom still lives in Elk Park and Tim grew up here. Mom and Dad used to have Tim on the school bus when they were running it.

Tim is a recording artist and has been living in Nashville for several years. He currently has a song out (The Devil You Know) that has been doing well on the charts. Tim has shot several music video's over the years in Butte. The one for his song "American Thread" had several scenes that were shot here on the ranch and Dad was actually in the video. One morning Fox News was doing a piece on the release of the song and the photo they had in the background was Dad's big scene in the video. So Dad's mug was on the Fox News screen for a minute or so.

Jennifer really liked Tim's song "Hillbilly Rich" and we actually went to a show Tim played at the JT Floores Country Store in Helotes, TX when we lived in San Antonio. Jennifer was hoping he was going to play that song and was starting to get disappointed that he was not going to play it and then boom it was the song he finished the show with. Then she was happy.

Anyway, both of the folks have been wanting to get out to see the club and to see Tim. We got to see Danielle and their kids at the Fire Department Christmas Party. Tim was unable to attend as he was ferrying some of their stuff from Nashville to Butte that weekend. The Galbavy boys also like playing with the Montana boy's and Heath had made a drawing that he wants to give to Tim's oldest son.

So should be a fun and interesting day.

Stuff She Is Missing

Glad you had time for yourself. it so important as a caregiver to find that time. I need to do it more. Hugs for you, your mom and dad. Have a great time in Wise River. I like Tim’s song ”The Devil You Know” and the video is cool too. He seems like a down to earth guy. Again, have fun!
