Tile is partially installed.

Well the winning streak continues (kind of.). The tile guys showed up. He showed up almost a hour late, but he showed up. I will take that as a win. The tile is installed now. He will come and grout it tomorrow and then be out of here. It looks good so far and I think Jennifer would be happy with it. I will post a picture of it when it is fully completed.

Our friend Michael Slone called today. He is coming to Las Vegas for the SEMA car show on Halloween. We have been making plans for his visit the last couple of weeks. I will pick him up at the airport early that morning and bring him out to Mesquite so he can see the area. Then we are going to head back to Las Vegas. He is pretty infactuated with the new MSG Sphere in Vegas. We are going to catch the 4:30 pm movie they are showing there. My friend Sheri went to the Sphere this weekend and caught the movie. She said it was really cool and worth seeing. So I am started to get excited about it.

For those that saw the PowerPoint slide show of the pictures of Jennifer. There was a couple of photos of Jennifer and Michael in his Elvis costume. When we all worked in Houston together, there was Elvis impersonator contest at the Houston Horse racing track and Michael entered it. One of the women on our staff dressed up as Priscilla and I was Colonel Parker. Plus we had a bunch other folks from the office come with us. So we all bet on the ponies and cheered on Michael. He ended up winning the contest. That was a very fun night and people were flocking to Michael requesting his photo and autograph. It was hysterical.

So we thinking we are going to reprise our roles on Halloween night on the Vegas strip. Michael is going to bring his suit and I will have to look for my Colonel shirt. Could be epic.

This evening I attended a Rotary meeting where are talking about combining the two Rotary clubs in town. We had some good discussions and will be proceeding forward with this over the coming months. There is a lot of work to do so that will be taking some of my time over the coming weeks and months.

So all in all a good day. Hoping to get back to playing some Pickleball and maybe even a round of golf this week. I got some new Pickleball shoes on Prime days that I am wanting to break in.
