The Elk Park I Remember

Well we woke up to -15 temperature this morning. That is the Elk Park I remember. However they are forecasting that we are going to be well above average for the next week or so. Some parts of the state may see 60 degrees. Tonight, the temp is dropping again we are already at -5. So I guess we are not in that part of the state.

Today was a little more laid back. Dad was supposed to have home health nurse come this morning, but the nurse called and said he had a cold and rescheduled for Friday. So I put on my Physical Therapist hat and put him through the paces and then I worked on the Sologub Christmas letter. It was tough without my "partner in crime" but I gave it the old College try and sent it out to the family. I know it is something she would want me to continue. But it was tough to get into it and certainly was not my best work, but it will have to do for this year.

I ran a couple of gift baskets (that Cindy had put together for my folks) to a couple of neighbors who were not at the Fire Department Christmas party.

Tonight I am watching the Amazing Race, it is the final episode and they are in Seattle, Washington. They started at the Space Needle. Jennifer and I visited Seattle several years ago and went to the Space Needle. It was my first time in Seattle (Jennifer had been a couple of times as a child and then in high school when she thought she was going to go to College there).

When we went to the space needle we had a beautiful day and could see all the various mountains in the distance. Jennifer was not fond of heights, but we went up to the top and walked around the outside. Jennifer pretty much hugged the wall, but she went up. Then we went downstairs and she did some shopping in the gift shop and bought a Space Needle T-shirt. That T-shirt was one of her favorites and she wore it often. She liked the weight of it and the neck on it.

Well enough rambling for today. Tomorrow is Dad's rotary club Christmas party, so he won't have a meeting, just the party tomorrow afternoon. I will call into my rotary club meeting in the morning.

Stuff She Is Missing
