I am so blessed to have a strong support structure of family and friends. This past week I have been blessed to spend time with family and friends who are helping me to try and understand this new journey that I am on. For that I am extremely thankful.
It helps that many of these folks have had their own personal losses and can appreciate how wierd this journey is. I still so much want to see, talk and hug her. She was a much bigger hugger than I was and I did not realize how much I would miss hugging her until I no longer could. Just another example that none of us should not take things for granted, because they can be gone tomorrow. I talk to her photo regularly and that helps a little in a wierd sort of way.
As I have mentioned in several posts I often hear her voice/laugh in my head and just pray that I never lose that.
It was great having Dave and Barb Searle stop in Mesquite on their way to AZ for the winter. We had a quick tour of Mesquite, a nice dinner (even if we had to wait about in line for a hour to get it). Was a great visit and I am so thankful that they stopped and took time to spend time with me.
Tonight I will be attending a cancer charity (Pink Warrior Christmas) dinner/dance with our friends Margot/Allen and Dorothy/Andy. Thankfully they reminded me of this, because I did not consult my Calendar.
It has been a action packed week.
