I think I saw Dorothy and Toto blow by here early this morning. It has been blowing like heck since yesterday afternoon.
I had a fun time golfing yesterday. It was a weird tournament. They announced the winning teams even before all the scorecards were turned in. We think we may have been tied for third place. Oh well it was a charity tournament so no big deal. Still weird.
We teed of from hole 17 and we were 17A so there was a foursome behind us. The other weird thing is that the course put two groups who were not playing in the tournament on hole 18. So we had two groups ahead of us that we're slow players and held us and several other teams up. So anyway seemed like a fixed outcome to us.
We still had a good time, it was a very nice day and our team all contributed shots that helped us finish 10 under par. It started to get windy about 16 holes in, but all in all was a good time.
Last night and today the wind really blew. We had bocce tonight, but had a low turnout probably due to the wind (which was nippy), NFL football and also several folks went to Vegas to see a Elvis impersonator.
Speaking of Elvis impersonators I am going to,head to Vegas tomorrow and spend a night with my in-laws Jim and Elaine Benner and then will pick up my friend Michael Slone on Tuesday morning. We will be going to the Sphere to see the movie Postcards from Earth and also the SEMA car show (Michael has VIP passes so we may get to see some celebrities). Then Michael is going to get in his Elvis get-up and I will get in my Colonel Tom Parker get-up and we will hit the strip. Should be fun and we will be Taking Care of Business.
The Vegas strip is always good people, watching, but it is really good on Halloween. Jennifer and I just by coiencidence took a trip to Vegas on Halloween many years ago. It was one of the funnest trips we had to Vegas and we always laughed a lot about the things we saw on that trip.
I,need to,head back to Mesquite early Wednesday morning for a meeting and also our new Pickleball complex grand opening is going to be happening.
So a busy couple of days ahead.
How far from Vegas will you be? we will be there in early December.
