She Never Got Her Convertible

As I was driving into town to play Pickleball I got to thinking about the cars that we had during our days together. Jennifer had always wanted a convertible car. She never got one.
We came close to buying one a couple of times but never pulled the trigger. This was for a variety of reasons. One was finding one that I could fit in vertically. Yes fitting into one period would be a potential issue, but vertically was the big issue. We came close to maybe buying a Mazda Miata when we were in Houston. We went to the Houston car show and actually sat in one. However what we found is that my head would be above the windshield. I have short legs, but I have a long upper body. So I would have need to wear goggles or a motorcycle helmet to keep bugs out of my eyes and mouth. Jennifer was also concerned about the safety aspects. So we never did get one. If she had more time in Mesquite, I think we may have finally pulled the trigger.
So I guess the learning from this is don’t procrastinate on things you want in life. Do it while you can because you are not guaranteed tomorrow.
Busy day today, both folks have appointments so Colleen and I will be running them to town. Mom has a hair appointment and Dad has Dr appointment.
We are having beautiful weather in Montana at the moment. We have had a bit of smoke from the Canadian fires, but other than that it has been nice. There are a couple of fires already burning in the state, which is not a good sign of things to come. We are green at the moment, but the heat and winds are quickly drying out things, so it will be turning brown before long.
We had a lot of elk behind the house last night and this morning. Many of the cows are still having their calves.
Well I better get a move on.
