Sense of Humor

One of the many things I appreciated about Jennifer was that she got, or at least put up with, my sense of humor. I know it is an acquired taste, but she tolerated it. I saw the below post on Facebook by someone yesterday and it made me chuckle, because I totally could hear in my head Jennifer saying this.

After she would have said it she would have gotten that little shit eating grin that she had, when she knew she had gotten me. I totally visualized that when I read this.
A few days ago I finally broke down and purchased my own set of corn hole boards. I had never really played corn hole until we moved here. I am playing with Andy in the Mesquite Senior games corn hole tournament next weekend. This is my second time playing in a tournament. It is fun and stress relieving in a weird sort of way, kind of like golf, because it is also a frustrating game. I bought some good quality boards so they should last my lifetime or as long as I can toss a bag. I do think Jennifer would have enjoyed this game as well. We had screwed around throwing bags one time at the KOA in Butte, but never pulled the trigger on buying the equipment.
I knew that my financial situation was going to be changing (and likely for the worse) with the impending announcement of “Liberation Day”. So figured I better do it while I could still afford it. Glad I did because a bunch of my money certainly got liberated last week thanks to the Orange idiot. I saw he was really stressing about it on the golf course this last weekend. Oh well , I guess over half of the country is Ok with all of this.
I got the boards on a sale the company was having. They had the in the state flag of all 50 states. I decided to get the Montana one. I am sure they will be adding Canada and Greenland to the mix shortly.
The boards are nice. If my bank funds are not wiped out I will be investing in some higher quality bags. The bags that came with them are entry level bags. They are Ok and will be fine for throwing in rougher areas, but not one I would want for competition. A couple of us went and threw some bags on them yesterday.

That Houston vs Duke game last night was crazy. I have Houston taking it all in my bracket and I was thinking I was screwed, but by god Houston came back and won it. Very nice to see Kelvin Sampson finally make it to the big dance. For those not familiar, Kelvin’s first College head coaching job was at Montana Tech. They even mentioned that last night on the broadcast.
I am going to play some golf this morning, while I can still afford it. If it’s good enough for Chettolini I figure it’s good enough for me. I just need to figure out a way for the American public to pay for my rounds.
Well enough for today. I got get loosened up for my rounds.
