Rough Day

Today has been a rough day. I don't know if it was the gray overcast skies or spending the day driving my father around town to a couple of appointments. I swear the man thinks this is my first time in Butte, telling me where to go, where to turn, etc. Of course my lack of patience in being giving this information did not help. Anyway, I just was missing her terribly today.
We did have a nice lunch and the Oasis Casino. We both had pork chop sandwiches that were tasty and then we went and got gas and got the car washed since it was a warmer day.
Then we went home and I had a couple of packages in the mail. One I was expecting since I ordered it. The other was a surprise and once I opened it was very much appreciated. It was a beautiful Christmas card and a book "Grieving at Christmastime" by Dwight Daniels and illustrated by R.W. Alley. It is a very nice book that is very appropriate to what I am dealing with as I navigate this Christmas without Jennifer and helped me put things into perspective.
This package was from Dave and Barb Searle and the timing of it could not be more appropriate. Thank you Barb and Dave!
This evening I did some work on our Pickleball app getting the play calendar set up for the next month. Lots of different activities planned.
Now I am going to watch the second half of the Eagle-Seahawks game. Enough for today.
