This morning I took Mom to town to do some banking and for a dentist appointment. We finished her banking a little early so we took a trip by the cemetery and then drove around out behind the Copper King. Mom had not been out there for quite some time. Then we went to her appointment.

After her appointment we went ran some errands and the came home. The painter finished up the last couple of items this morning. It looks very nice and fresh now.

So when we got home, I worked on getting the electrical covers put back on the outlets and switches in the big room and kitchen.

Then I headed back to town for a nice dinner with Jeanne and Rob at the Derby. They wanted to take me to dinner for driving back from Bozeman after Rob’s procedure last week. That was very nice of them and it was a very tasty dinner and a nice visit.

Then I came home no started working on getting furniture in the big room back in place. I got one wall finished and will work on the remaining items in the morning.

I stopped this evening to pay a couple of bills that came in today.

We had a juvenile Bald Eagle around the ranch tonight. He was still pretty shaggy, but his head was white and he was pretty good sized. I also saw one on the other end of Elk Park (Woodville area) when I was driving home from dinner. He was also still pretty shaggy. They better hurry up and get some gophers, as they will be heading underground for the winter soon.

Today I was remembering Jennifer and my honeymoon trip to Coeur d’Lane. We sure had fun. We went to the Silverwood amusement park, it was just getting started at that time. So it was not nearly as impressive as it is today. They had a nice little antique aircraft museum and small zoo. From what I understand it has really grown in the past 35 years.

We also took a biplane ride, which I loved (Jennifer not so much), we flew out over Hayden Lake and Lake Pend Oreille (which is one of the deepest lakes in the US). We even got to wear the snoopy helmets and goggles. Jennifer was a little miffed when we landed and noticed that the pilot had a parachute, but we did not. Oh well we survived. She damn near put her fingernails through my thigh a couple of times but we had a good flight.

We also met up with a old Carroll College friend at Coeur d’Lane and went out to his family’s cabin on Coeur d’Lane lake and went boating and I went water skiing. I believe I have written about the battery dieing and having to push start the car, so I won’t bore you with that story again, but I can still see that innocent shit eating grin on her face after that incident. Good thing I was in better shape in those days, it probably would put me in the grave today.

Well enough for today.
