Nice Day

Today was a nice day. Had my Rotary meeting via Zoom this morning. Was nice seeing/hearing my fellow club members.

Then did a few things around the house and paid a couple of bills. Then had a surprise visit from a good friend and classmate. Geoff Gallus came out to the ranch and brought us a box of Maple Logs and cookies from Town Talk Bakery. He knows us way too well. Dad was on the Maple Logs like white on rice as soon as Geoff left. That was extremely nice of him to do that. He is a damn good friend.

Then we got ready and went in to Dad's Rotary Club Christmas party at the Butte Country Club. It was a very nice and tasty prime rib and chicken dinner, with some tasty desserts. I had the bread pudding and it was very good. We also had a nice visit with the folks at our table. So overall a nice party.

Jennifer always teased my Dad about this particular Christmas party. Several years ago we attended with Mom and Dad and they asked the members to introduce their guests. When it was my Dad's turn. He said THIS IS MY SON JOE! and his wife. It was just how he said it and that he did not introduce Jennifer by her name. Jennifer teased him a lot about this and got a good laugh out of it.
