National Champions

Since getting back from home, I have been working on getting back into my routine. This week I watched the National Championship FCS football game between Montana State and Illinois State. It was a very entertaining game with one of the craziest endings I have ever viewed. I will be honest, I thought MSU had screwed the pooch a couple of times in the second half of the game.

If Jennifer had been here viewing the game she would have gone crazy. She would not have been able to watch the last play of the game. She would have gone into the other room and tell me to call her when it was over or she would have buried her face in a blanket or pillow, until the play was over. She just could not handle the tension of the moment. MSU was facing 4th down and 11 yards to go to either get a first down or a touchdown. Well needless to say they got a touchdown. Then it came down to the kicking of the extra point. If they make the extra point they are national champions. If they miss the game would go into a second overtime. Well they nailed the extra point and walked out of Nashville as national champions.

So the state of Montana was celebrating from one end of the state to the other, even in Missoula. I am very happy for the team, they deserved it. They had come out on the losing end the year before and battled their way back in 2025.

Anyway I am sure there were some Bobcat fans that woke up with sore heads Tuesday as they probably celebrated pretty hard.

Note: I thought I had posted this blog two days ago and just realized I did not.
