MUDD Volleyball

Well the MUDD Volleyball was another success for its 10th year. Thanks to a lot of work by a key group of club members. These folks worked their butts off on the planning and organizing of the event. Thankfully we had a good showing of clubs members yesterday to help get the site ready yesterday morning.

It was a beautiful day for the event and the folks who came to play and watch seemed to have a really good time. A bunch of kids also had a good time playing in the mud and I am sure they and their parents will be finding mud in places you should not have mud. I also bet the car washes in town will be busy these next few days as some trucks and cars that had some very muddy passengers riding in them.

Every year the first match of the event is the Fire Department vs the Police Department for the Studs of the MUDD match. The Fire Department beat the Police Department for a second consecutive year. Below is a short videoclip of that match.

It was a long day. We started setting up at 6:00 am and we got done tearing down around 3:30 pm.

Then I went home, grabbed a quick shower and then off to a whiskey tasting party at a friends house. It was very fun and I met some new folks, as well as visited with some folks that I had not seen since being back. Believe me that whiskey tasted pretty damn good after being out in the sun and sand all day. The tasting was five different Bullet brand whiskeys. My favorite was the single barrel variety.

Then came home and crashed. Woke up early this morning and decided to go play some Pickleball and then came home and cooked up some breakfast.

I think I will just be a little lazy and enjoy some football this afternoon.
