I hope everyone reading this had a Merry Christmas and Happy start of Hanukkah.

It was a nice one here in Elk Park. Very unseasonal weather, but a very nice day. The kids came over from Helena around noon. They both got motor bikes for Christmas, so they were pretty excited. The grandparents are not very excited about the bikes, even though they bought them some of the safety equipment they will hopefully use when riding (chest protectors, knee and elbow pads). As you can see East Helena does not have any snow, so they will likely get a chance to ride them around the neighborhood.

When they got here we snacked on various Christmas time snacks. We had one of Jennifer’s favorite Chinese pork with mustard and sesame seeds. Crackers and shrimp covered cream cheese, chips and dip, etc.

Then we opened gifts. Everyone made quite a haul. Then tonight we had a nice Prime Rib dinner with all the fixings. I ran a plate of food down to my brother-in- law Rob. Unfortunately Jeanne is still on her feeding tube and could not partake. Hustled back home to help with cleanup (although they had most of it done) then the kids headed back to East Helena. Chad has to work in the morning.

Of course I missed Jennifer all day, I still struggle with grasping that she is indeed gone. There is nothing I can do about it but plug ahead and cherish the various memories that we made when she was here.

Well enough for today. God bless you all.
