Well March Madness is upon us. The bracket was released last night.

Last year Jennifer decided that she wanted to do a family event for March Madness. We sent everyone a e-mail with the bracket and folks completed them and and sent them back to us. We helped a couple of folks via phone do theirs. I built a spreadsheet to talley the results to calculate the winner. It is only open to members of the Dysinger and Sologub families. We even bought a little trophy for the winner.

Well it was a lot of fun, we would send out updates as the tournament progressed. As could be expected there was several lead changes. Some brackets got really broken early as a couple high seeds went down in the first round. Jennifer's brother Mike ended up winning the challenge. It was a pro Gonzaga group and they got bounced by Connecticut in the semifinals. So it got interesting, but Mike walked away the winner.

Sadly neither Mike or Jennifer are with us this year, but I am hoping to keep this tradition she started going. I have e-mailed the bracket out to the family members. Hopefully they will compete.

She was a little miffed at the family members who did not compete last year, hopefully they will compete this year. She really enjoyed it and was so looking forward to making it a annual tradition. I intend to do so in her honor.

This evening I walked out my front door to go get my mail and saw a wild sight in the sky. I ran in and grabbed my phone and snapped a couple of photos. Then I got on the internet to see what it might be.

Turns out it was a Falcon 9 rocket launch out of Vandenberg Space Port in California. It is carrying Starlink Satellites into orbit. Was pretty wild to watch streak across the sky and the bright white contrail it was leaving. Interesting you could not hear anything from it and it appeared to be pflying more horizontal than vertical. Nonetheless it was cool to see.

Well I need to do a few more things this evening as I am trying to get ready for my trip to back to Montana. I need to check and test all my batteries in my various devices. So I better get on that before the night gets away from me.
