Interesting Day

I worked the Sun City Business Expo today, it was interesting. The event was from 10-2. I saw lots of folks I knew and plenty I did not. Talked to a lot of folks and handed out lots of Rotary handouts. Below is a photo of the table I put together for the event.

Thanks to Dorothy and Andy helping, I got packed up pretty quickly and got home in time to watch the second half of both the MSU and UM games. Both of them won. The MSU game got a little interesting in the third quarter but Touchdown Tommy got them back on track with a 76 yard touchdown run and they won handily. The UM game was not as close and they also won handily.

I decided to grill up a steak and baked potato for dinner. I set up my TV on the patio and watched the games while I waited for my potato to get baked and after about a hour threw on my steak. It was pretty damn tasty.

While I was sitting there this afternoon I contemplated about how Jennifer and I had looked so forward to sitting on the patio frequently. We got to do it a couple of times, but not near as much as we had hoped. The photo below was from one of those times we got to do it. We had just bought the fire pit and we were having a couple of adult beverage to commemorate the new pit when I took that photo and she took one of me with my beverage. I believe we had texted them to the Malody’s

That photo makes me smile and also cry at the same damn time. My eyes are leaking as I sit here and type this. Funny how that can happen, but it does, and to be honest it kind of pisses me off. I would rather just deal with one emotion. For whatever reason, that photo and memory is etched in my mind and almost always comes to my mind when I sit on the patio.
