Her Voice In My Head.

Today I spent the day getting the trailer tidied up and ready for winter. I really felt Jennifer's presence with me in the trailer and could hear her voice in my head a lot today. She was telling me don't forget this or that and laughing at my sister Colleen and I as we huffed and puffed to get the mattress stuffed into the plastic mattress bag. Another bittersweet day. Lots of good memories in that trailer. Not as many tears today and actually a few chuckles.
Anyway I got it tidied up and Colleen and I hooked it up and drove it out into the field and backed into its little pen that we built around it last year to keep animals away from it. It went surprisingly smooth and I actually got it back on the cement pavers that we put down last year to keep it from sinking into the ground. Jennifer would have been thoroughly impressed.
Also I stopped at the headstone place and had them fix the "W" on wife and I added the words "daughter" and "son" to our respective descriptions. I know it is a little presumptuous of me to put those words on mine already, but I am footing the bill, so damnit I will put what I want. It won't be the first time I am called a liar.
Sounds like the stone may get here sooner than later, so it's possible it might get carved and placed this fall. That would be nice. The stone is actually coming out of Georgia. That was a little surprising to me.
Now I just need to get the cover installed on the trailer. The weather is supposed to warm back up and dry up starting tomorrow. I hope that is the case so that the roof can get dried off before we put the cover on it.
I am planning to go to the Montana Tech vs Western Montana football game this Saturday with my childhood friend and my best man from our wedding C.D. Holter. That should be fun and my little cousin Chris Casne is being inducted into the Montana Tech Athletics Hall of Fame at this game. My Mom and Dad are his godparents. He was the team kicker and a team captain which is unusual for a kicker. So kudos to him.
Well enough therapy for today.
