Happy Mothers Day

Happy Mothers Day to all the mothers that read my Drabble. I hope you all had a good day.

Yesterday, Dad and I staffed a Rotary table for a hour at the mental wellness fair that was held in conjunction with the May Fair at the Butte Civic Center.

Then Dad bought lunch at the Hanging Five. We then came home and I did a few things around the house.

This morning I cooked up some pancakes for breakfast and then I went and played some Pickleball at Stodden Park. This was the first time I played since March, so I was a little rusty, but it was getting better by the time we finished. Felt good to get back out on the courts.

My good friend CD has been wanting to learn to play, so he came over and played a few games. He did really well for his first time. I think he will be taking it up.

Then I went out to the cemetery to see Jennifer for a few minutes and to see Mick and Rose and wish Rose a happy Mother’s Day. I still cry my eyes out every time I visit, but I do feel good after visiting.

Then ran to Walmart to get a few things I needed to make Mom’s mother day dinner. We had a Taco Salad dinner.

The power company showed up today to untwist some lines that got twisted up on our yard light pole sometime by the wind. We had reported it a couple of weeks ago and today they showed up. So now my Dad can now quit obsessing about it.

The elk have come down fairly close to the house tonight.

It is a beautiful evening, but the damn mosquitoes are already out. So need to put on the bug juice to stay out there for long.

All in all it was a nice day.
