Today would have been Jennifer’s 58th birthday. I hope she is in Heaven partying it up and eating white cake!

It was appropriate that the NCAA tournament ended on the eve of her birthday. The family “What Is A Bracket” challenge ended with a back to back champion. Our niece-in-law Leela repeated. She had a strong round 5 (picked both teams) and had picked the Florida gators as the national champion. If Houston would have won Elaine would have pulled off the win.

I posted the photo below on Facebook.

This was one of her High School Senior year photos. It was one of her favorites and one that she gave me when we were dating. I carried it in my wallet for many years. Yes, I know that shows that

I am old. It was one of my favorites of her senior photos. She has that big 80’s hair and the yuppie outfit, collar all turned up and flared out. Of course the shirt had to have pink so she did not blend into the photo with her white Irish skin.

I even kept the photo during the “Chrissy period”. For those that don’t know I have to confess that I had a (what I considered a minor indiscretion, her not so much) during our freshman year of College and I dated another girl (named Chrissy) for a short period of time. I was very fortunate that Jennifer gave me a second chance at happiness. She never let me forget that and if I was getting to far out of line she would bring up the Chrissy period and I would straighten up pretty quick.

I used to think that minor indiscretion would keep me from running for President, but I now realize that in today’s politics it is now considered a prerequisite.

Like I said the other day, if the cancer had not killed her, Donald Trump’s second term probably would have. She would have stroked out or had a heart attack. I am pretty sure she would have donated to a marksmanship fund for Thomas Mathew Crooks, just like her Dad used to try and do for John Hinckley. Her Dad loathed Ronald Regan.

It’s days and weeks like this that I really miss her.

Enough for today, I can’t type very good with my eyes watering.
