Happy Anniversary and Good Bye Pat

Today is both Elaine and Jim and Janice and Kenn’s wedding anniversary’s today. I had good visits with both of them last evening and hope they had good days today. Of course their marriages were 17 years apart. However Janice provided me a interesting fact, the best men in both their weddings had the same last name, but they were not related.

Tonight we watched Pat Sajak’s last show on the Wheel of Fortune. Jennifer and I had talked several times over the years how the show had changed. We remembered when they used to shop for the showroom of stuff they had. I remember if we got sick and stayed home watching both Wheel of Fortune and Price is Right in the morning. Mom and Dad watch it every night.

Pat gave a very nice speech at the end of tonight’s show. It choked me up a little and almost brought a tear to my eye.

I got to go play some Pickleball this morning and got to Judy Kiely and Dave Searle today, so that was a pleasant surprise.

Today I got the trailer moved closer to the house and started cleaning out the cupboards and stuff. I will be honest it was tough sledding. Some of the stuff will get donated and some will go to family members (if they want them).

I took down our sticker boards and that was tough. A lot of good memories on those boards and the frig. Anytime we went to a brewery or distillery we would try to get a sticker or magnet and we would add them to the boards that we had hung on the cabinets. We also had a few stickers that we just liked and added to the boards as well. I took a photo for a keepsake.

I am going to keep those and will ship them and a few other items home later this summer. Still got a lot to do before I will list it, but got the ball rolling. I am sure I will have a few more tough moments getting this done but it needs to be done.

The Galbavy’s arrived this evening and we have several work activities planned for the next couple of days.
