Well we survived another Rotary Golf Tournament. Thanks to a lot of hard work and organizing by Chantile, Darlene, and Deb. We also had a few folks that volunteered from the noon club and overall things went pretty well. Our friend Allen also came out and volunteered and helped me with a laundry list of things and I really appreciated his help. Especially at the end picking things up.
It was a absolutely perfect day weather wise. Cool in the morning, but in the low 80's for the afternoon. The eclipse occurred during the tournament. It was neat, but it did not get near as dark as I thought it would. However it was still cool.
I am happy to announce that I sold the winning raffle ticket for the grand prize drawing. My sister Cindy's ticket was the winning ticket. She won $500 in cash, Dinner for 2 at the Terrace restaurant at Wolf Creek (fanciest golf course in Mesquite) and a 2 night stay at a condo at Wolf Creek.
I briefly considered going to,play Pickleball this evening, but I am whipped, plus the Notre Dame game is on (they are looking good this week and are beating USC). Plus I am going to get up early and drive to Vegas to get the picture of Jennifer and my golf clubs from Jim and Elaine. They graciously hauled them back from MT for me, since I left my truck in Elk Park.
I was hoping to go to breakfast with them before heading back, but NASCAR is having a race in Vegas on Sunday afternoon, so I am going to make a immediate departure after getting the picture and my clubs so I can get out of dodge before the traffic gets too crazy (hopefully). I have to drive right by the track going and coming.
Our Bocce club is having a Pot Luck tomorrow afternoon so I want to make sure that I am back for that. Especially since I whipped up my desert item yesterday. Boy I am glad I did it yesterday, because I did not have the energy to,do it tonight.
Anyway it was a busy but good day, but I missed having her there today. We'll time to decompress and get ready for tomorrow.
