Golf The Original Four Letter Word.

Yesterday afternoon Jim, Elaine and I went and played 9 holes at the Par 3 course at Highland View Golf course. The course was busy and it was windy day, but we battled thru it. We had a fun time and enjoyed a quick beverage on the clubhouse patio when we finished.
I just so wish that they had taken up the game earlier so they could have played a round or two with Jennifer. She would have really enjoyed that. As we were playing yesterday, I could hear Jennifer laughing and cussing and I could visualize her playing with us.
There were a couple of holes on the course she liked and a couple she hated. She hated hole 4, (but on her last round she made par on it). She hit her best tee shot ever on that hole during that last round and she was so happy about that. She liked hole 7.
She always thought she should be hitting the ball better than she was. She hit a lot of worm burners and would get frustrated and would cuss like a sailor. She wanted her ball to get some height. I would constantly remind her that there were no points for how your ball got to the hole just for the number of strokes it took to get there. She would grumble and bitch about not having pretty shots and say if they had a Marshall, they would charge her for another round. I would tell her Golf was a four letter word for a reason, because it is a sport that will test your faith in God. She would chuckle at that sometimes and sometimes I just got a growl.
On that day she made par, she hit a nice tee shot that got some elevation and landed and ran up just short of the green. She chipped on with her putter and was about 4 feet from the pin and she sunk the putt. Even though she was not feeling well, she was so happy! That memory always warms my heart. She did not get to play hole 7 on her last round we had to quit at hole 6, because she was not feeling well enough to continue.
I am going to Missoula tomorrow to hopefully play a round of golf with my financial advisors, however, the weather is not looking encouraging (50-60% chance of rain), but I will go anyway.
The Dysinger family has had another health scare. Jennifer’s brother Dan had a heart attack last week and ended up having a double bypass heart surgery, earlier this week. Hopefully he is on the road to recovery in AZ. So please keep him in your prayers and hopefully he gets to go home in the next day or two to continue his recovery.
Well I better get a move on. It is shower day for Dad. So need to help him with that.
