End Of The Season

Well tonight I am watching the College National Championship game between Miami and Indiana. I am pulling for Indiana. It is weird but I can almost feel Jennifer her with me. Most of the playoff games before this Championship were pretty good games. The exception was Indiana against Oregon. That was a good old fashioned beating.

The pro’s have also had some good games. I was saddened to see Chicago’s magical season come to a end. Especially for my good friend CD Holter. He has been waiting since 1985 for a season like this. Things were looking good until they were not. Of the teams left I am pulling for Seattle.

I have been keeping somewhat busy. Last Monday I finally pulled the trigger on something I have been thinking about/wanting to do for a while. I went to Las Vegas and got fitted for and ordered new golf clubs. It was not cheap, but I think the fitting was worth it. Time will tell, once I get the clubs and start hitting them. I was impressed with the process and the fitter. I ended up going with the new Taylormade QI4D clubs. It was quite a work out. I hit a lot of balls before we finished. The session was about 4 hours long.

I went down to Vegas a little early and had a nice visit and lunch with Elaine and Jim.

I am considering the clubs my Christmas gift to myself. Like I said it was not cheap, but I figure I can afford to treat myself and pulled the trigger. Like the old saying, you can’t take it with you, Anyway, I am anxious to receive them and they should be getting here the next few days.

I am so fed up with how shit in this country is going. Our Orange leader and his administration are out of control and our legislative branch of government is not doing shit about it. The mess In Minneapolis is just surreal. Then this crap about Greenland is so ridiculous. If we don’t end up in a world war and or second Great Depression it will be miraculous.

Well enough for today. It is halftime and Indiana is up 10-0, so I am happy with that. I may treat myself to a adult beverage before the second half. I think Jennifer would approve of that to close out the season. She probably would have had a glass of her gas station wine with me.
