Today was a fairly laid back day. We did some physical therapy and then watched some football, while we waited for the UM vs NDSU game to come on. Talk about a hell of a game. It was a double overtime game and the Grizzlies pulled off the win. So they will play South Dakota State in the championship game in Frisco, Texas. It was a sit on the edge of your seat and chew your finger nails off type game.
After the game was over, I hit the channel guide and I saw the Han Solo Star Wars movie was playing on one of the stations. This kind of choked me up. That was the last drive in movie that Jennifer and I went to at the Silver Bow Drive In Theater.
The Silver Bow has been in the news the last few days. I guess a developer is wanting to put in a truck stop and convienence store on land near the theater. The concern is that the lights and traffic from that operation will affect the theater's operations so they are concerned they will have to close. That would be a crying shame. It is one of the last remaining drive ins in the country.
Jennifer and I went to a few movies there when were dating. I could not tell what the movies were because we really were not "watching" if you know what I mean. A couple of times, it was because we were busy dodging my friend CD's big feet kicking us as he and his date were "busy" in the back seat. He has really big feet.
For the Han Solo movie we were actually watching. All I remember is that it was a long damn movie I think we got back to our trailer at like 2:00 am. It was still fun to go to the movie. A couple of summers before that we had went with my sister Cindy and her family to one of the Despicable Me movies and that was fun. Jennifer really enjoyed that night.
Anyway I saw that movie title and it was a trigger of one of those "last" activities that we had done together.
Well enough for today, my eyes are watering again.
