Yesterday I went to St. George for my annual eye exam. This year my vision improved just a little bit. I got up there a little early so I treated myself to breakfast at the Bear Paw Diner. It is just down the street from my eye doctor and they have a nice breakfast.

When I got done I went to Costco to get some gas and pick up a couple of items. Then I went to Lowe's to get a pressure gauge so I can periodically check my house's water pressure so I hopefully don't have a repeat of the issues I had the week that Jennifer passed.

Then I went to Harmon's and picked up some Maple Bars. That got me teared up, because that was a stop that Jennifer and I would pretty much always make. Harmon's is a Utah grocery store chain and they have a nice bakery. Their Maple Bars are not as good as Town Talk's Maple Bars but they are the best that we had found. I also picked some up for Margot and Allen as a small thank you for them loaning me their cornhole set to take to Boulder City. We did not get to use them, but I appreciated them loaning them to me.

Then I went and picked up a Dixie Direct coupon book. It has a bunch of coupons for restaurants and golf courses in Mesquite and St. George.

Then I came back to Mesquite. On the trip home I got a little teared up, because I just never thought I would be in this position and was really missing her. When I got back to town I delivered the cornhole board and Maple Logs to Margot and was hoping to play Pickleball but Mother Nature had other ideas and rained me out.

Today I went up and played Bocce and then Andy, Dorothy and Margot and I went bowling and then played the 3:00 pm Bingo at the Virgin River. Andy won one game for 1300 pennies or a whopping $13.00, but at least he won. Then we went and played the slots for a bit. I won $60 bucks so I covered my $25 Bingo loss.

Then I had a Rotary meeting to discuss the merging of the two Mesquite Rotary clubs. I feel we made some headway but we have a lot of work ahead of us.

So was a busy couple of days and several busy ones ahead of me. Yesterday I just did not feel like writing and got a late start on it today.

Stuff She Is Missing
