Damn Elk Park Weather!

Well we got some of the old grass and weeds burned yesterday. Mark Galetti and Bob Milodragovich came down with the small fire truck (just in case we needed it).

However we did not get as much burned as we wanted because a small rain/sleet storm came in and wet everything down and the grass would not burn. Damn Elk Park weather! We will have to give it another go after it drys out some. That may be a week or so as it is raining/snowing now. Mostly rain, but occasional snowflakes. The hills are getting some snow. (Which is good, it is much needed).

Last night I went to town to watch/listen to one of my oldest friend’s CD Holter’s secondary band “Slovie’s Love” play at the 51 below speak easy. Slovie’s Love is usually CD and the drummer from his regular band (High Ore Road) Tom Billteen but last night they had a special guest singer Jamie Fabatz perform with them. They put on a good show, the venue acoustics are not the best, but it is an old speakeasy in the basement of an old building so it is what it is.

Jamie grew up right behind our good friend Mike Dolan so we have known her since she was a baby. They played a lot of Bruce Springsteen songs (CD is a huge Bruce fan) and a few other 80’s songs but they also played some from the 60’s and 70’s.

Well I need to do something productive so better get moving, been slacking off this morning.
