Coach Khaki Pants Gets One From The Couch

Jennifer and I did not have a appreciation for how big the Michigan vs Ohio state football rivalry was until we lived in Findlay, Ohio. Of course, Jennifer had not yet progressed into her college football fandom at that point, so it was a little over her head. However, it was very clear this game was a big deal and she came to understand that once she started following college football. Keep in mind we were deep in the trench's because Findlay is not that far from the Michigan border so there were fans from both camps close by at all times.

However I will tell you she would have been happy with the Michigan victory today. She did not like Ryan Day, she did not despise him as much as Jimbo Fischer, but he was a close second. She felt he was an arrogant ass. Being 0-3 against Michigan may cost him his job, THE Ohio State faithful won't put up with that.

Now don't get me wrong she was not a huge fan of Jim Harbaugh either (Coach Khaki pants as ESPN's Rick Neuheisel calls him on his Full Ride show ) but she would have preferred to see him win over Ryan Day. She would always giggle when Coach Neuheisel called him Coach Khaki pants. She would also cheer for Michigan because our niece Hannah is doing a residency there.

She passed before all of this controversy with Michigan and Harbaugh having to watch this years victory from his couch so, her opinion might have changed slightly but I doubt it. She was pretty hard headed once she formed a opinion of someone.

Today started pretty chilly and foggy we were hovering right at the 0-1 degree mark at about 7:00 a.m. but once the sun came up the fog burned off and it was beautiful and quickly warmed up into the teens. Frosty but beautiful. Hunters should have been happy as the rifle season is quickly coming to a close.
