I have been pretty busy and have not had a chance to post for a few days. We have a busy few days ahead, so figured I better post while I can.
The second day of the class reunion was very nice. It was nice seeing people you have not seen in a long time and also meeting some new people. There were a couple of people I had not seen in 45+ years.
We had fun at the golf outing. It was at the Highland View municipal course at Stodden Park. It was a little emontial for me. Due to the pace of play, we decided to play the Par 3 course for our second 9 holes. This was the first time that I had played the Par 3 course without Jennifer. So I had to kind of fight back some tears as memories of her last round went through my head as we were playing. That round (while we only got six holes in before she had to quit) was Jennifer’s best overall round and she left the course ill but happy. That means a lot to me.
After the golf they had a nice dinner/dance at the Country club. The band played a lot of the 80’s hits that were big during our high school days.
The organizers also had the memorial table set up here. Below is a photo of it. Jennifer’s photo is the second from left on the bottom row. I really appreciated the folks doing this and it really did help me feel her presence there. While none of Jennifer’s close high school friends attended the reunion, she still would have enjoyed it like I did.

Tomorrow we will be attending the memorial service for my Aunt Betty Krstulich. She passed away earlier this year, but her kids decided to wait to hold her memorial service until July 3. She always liked the July 4 Holiday season. So it is appropriate.
My cousin John is going to have a small family BBQ at the cabin after the service. My Aunt Betty and Uncle George had many a July 4 BBQ there over the years. So lots of fun memories from those.
It is also Jennifer’s sister Jeanne’s birthday on July 3, so we will try and squeeze in a celebration of that as well.
Then there will be the Fireworks show on the evening of the 3rd and then the parade on the morning of the 4th. Jennifer always liked the July 4 holiday and had many find memories of celebrations at her Aunt Helen’s house. I will get some red licorice to have for the parade watching, that was her special little treat and tradition to bring to the parade.
The handicap van has been working out pretty well. I got new tires and a new battery put on it so that it should be reliable from that standpoint at least.
I am also going to meet up with some classmates today for a late lunch this afternoon. I have not been able to get much Pickleball in the last few days due to all the preparations for the next few days did a bunch of yard work yesterday and also gave Dad a haircut so that he looks presentable for the memorial service.
Well I better get a move on from here on it will be busy, busy.
