Answered Prayers

I started monitoring the weather forecast for September 30 tens days out. It bounced all over the place. Every night I would ask the Lord to please give us just a few hours of nice weather so that we could have a nice service for Jennifer.
Thankfully my prayers were answered. We got a very nice Montana fall afternoon to put Jennifer to rest. For those not from Montana, it is a place (I shit you not) where you can have all four seasons in a day.
What a difference a day can make, today was a overcast, wet and cold day. I bet we will have skiffs of snow tomorrow morning.
My siblings, my brother in law Chad and I knocked out several winterizing activities around the ranch this afternoon and we did it without a single fight. A personal best for the three Sologub siblings. Jennifer would have been proud. She was witness to more than one donneybrook between the Sologub siblings over the years.
I cannot thank the Lord enough for bringing Chad into our family. He and Cindy are always there with their sleeves rolled up and working away. They have been a god send to our family this past year and have made a lot of sacrifices in helping me and my parents. I also want to thank my sister Colleen who pitched in this past summer when Jennifer and I retreated to Mesquite to address her health situation. She helped my parents a lot and they got to attend several social functions because of her efforts.
2023 will go down as probably the worse year of my life. I know you should never challenge worse, but this year has been pretty damn shitty. I pray that it gets better and hope the good lord answers that prayer as well.
I pray that all of the folks that traveled to come to the celebration have safe and uneventful trips home. I know several have, but also know we have a several that will departing in the coming days. So I hope that prayer is also answered.
I am trying to not go to the prayer trough to often, but if these could be answered I would be most grateful.
