All Went Well

I left a little early yesterday morning so I could swing by the cemetery to say hey to Jen, before we took off for Bozeman. I will be honest I was pretty teary driving in and was having a hard time grasping that she has already been gone for a year. Then just as I was getting ready to turn into the cemetery Meatloaf’s song “Bat Out Of Hell” came on the radio and once again I had a strange comfort come over me. Like it was a sign that she was letting me know everything is going to be OK. As I mentioned the other day I had that happen when driving back from Helena. Same artist different song, but same result.
Well I get to her grave and the lawn crew was cutting her area, so I did not get to have much private time with her and I certainly did not want to have them not cut her grass. That would be like screwing up a haircut. She took her haircuts pretty seriously. So I just stayed a very short time and blew her a kiss and went to Jeanne and Rob’s.
We had a nice drive over to Bozeman and found the place with no problem. We were pretty early, but they had a open room so they took Rob back to the room. Jeanne and I went to the cafeteria and had a nice lunch. We then went back to Rob’s floor and they took us back to his Pre-op room. Well we had a nice visit while we waited for them to come prep Rob. The nurse finally came in and got him all fixed up. Poor Rob had to explain (in his own words) the procedure he was there for to each nurse and Dr that came in before the procedure. But I guess that is the procedure to make sure they do the right thing.
Fortunately they let Jeanne and I stay in the pre-op room during the procedure vs the waiting room, so we had it pretty nice. We called Jim and Elaine and had a nice call with them, Catherine and Dan happened to call Jeanne so we had a nice visit with them as well. We then watched a little TV.
The procedure took about 2 1/2 hours and then they brought Rob back. He was out like a light, but he came around pretty quick. Fortunately they got him some water, because he was parched. The doctors came in and visited with us. The doctor said he thinks everything is Ok, but will have to wait on the biopsy he took. So it will 3-5 days before they know with certainty, but based on what he saw he felt he was OK.
Of course I drove home and we fortunately had a smooth trip back to Butte. Thank god the procedure was yesterday and not today. The Cheetolini is in Bozeman today, so we did not have to deal with all the BS that goes with that.
We did see vendors hawking various Trump shit (red hats, flags, T shirts) etc. One of the vendors was on TV the night before, he was a Black man from North Carolina. In my opinion, if you are a minority, woman or veteran and you think the Orange Messiah is going to do something to make your life better, you need to seek medical attention or get a better quality of recreational drugs. Like I have said before and I will say again, the only difference between Jim Jones and Trump is that Trump would charge you for the Kool-Aid.
Well enough of being on my soap box. The main thing was everything went smoothly.
