I really have been missing Jennifer today. I did not sleep real well last night. I woke up several times and got up to check to see if the Northern Lights were visible. They were not, the sky was overcast with clouds. It was not a real busy day, so my mind was always thinking of her today. I puttered around doing a few little things but nothing of any real consequence. I tell you I would give anything to just converse with her. These one way conversations just are not the same.
We woke up this morning to a skiff of snow. The heat mat I bought for the folks worked as advertised, so I was happy about that, but it still was not flat. So I rolled it over and rolled it back up and tied a rope around it to hold it that position and let it run for about a hour. I then turned it off and let it cool down for about 30 minutes and then rolled it back out and flipped it back over an voila it was flat.
Today is the start of Advent. Chad and Cindy had given me a advent German beer calendar for Christmas last year. However, since we did not get to come home for Christmas it has been sitting for the year. So I cracked the first beer tonight and gave my Mom a little taste and then consumed the rest myself. We both thought it was pretty good. So I guess I have 23 more to go.
Hopefully tomorrow is a little better, it's a big football day as both MSU and UM have playoff games. MSU is playing North Dakota State and UM is playing Delaware. Tomorrow is also my nephew Heath's 13th birthday. So he is officially a teenager.
He and his Dad are going to the UM game, that is what he wanted for his Birthday present. Unfortunately Cindy got sick yesterday and while she was feeling somewhat better today. Case was not feeling well this evening. So they ended up staying home in Helena. I know that it is bothering her to not be with Heath for his Birthday. But hopefully it will be a good Father/Son outing for Chad and Heath. It is going to be a cold outing with snow forecasted at game time. Hopefully that bodes well for the MT boys.
Dad is slowly getting settled back into being home, so that is good. We need to be exercising him a little more. We did a little bit today, but he has not done a lot of exercising because of the Thanksgiving Holiday and it shows. Tomorrow we will try to get some in before the games kick off at 1:00 pm.
Well enough for today, hopefully I sleep better tonight.
