A Vivid But Good Dream

I woke up this morning at about 3:00 am and could not go back to sleep. I read for a bit and finally fell back to sleep around 4:30 am (as near as I can tell). When I did go back to sleep, I had a very vivid dream of Jennifer being in the bed with me. Just a FYI it was not a sexual type dream.

I was able to hug her and it really felt comforting. Of course I woke up and it was just the spare pillow on the bed but it sure felt like her (at least for a bit). I sure hope I have more dreams like that in the future, I really liked that.

This morning I went to get my Dad to bring him to the ranch for the afternoon. He will come home tomorrow. I went a little early and I went to Walmart and then I ran out to the cemetery to see her for a few minutes. It was a beautiful morning and I had a good conversation with her.

I got Dad home and we had some homemade Turkey soup for lunch. My Mom and I made it yesterday and we had it for dinner last night and put a further dent in it this afternoon. I think we will freeze the remainder to have on hand for a cold snowy winter day. Which we know will be coming at some point in the not too distant future. It is wild that we do not really have any measurable snow yet. It is almost December and there are not many(if any) in my 56 years that we have not had snow.

Thankfully my sister Colleen made it back to Denver yesterday. She had a very long day and some crappy roads to travel on. She left here at 6:00 am and got home at about 9:00 pm. She made it safely so that is the main thing.

Jim and Elaine are going to the Raiders vs Chief's football game today. Funny thing is that based on the pictures Jim sent they are pretty close to,where Jennifer and I sat when we went to the UNLV vs Fresno State college football game last year. They are pretty good seats. I hope they have a good time and will be watching the game to see if I can pick out them out of the crowd.

Anyway, that dream was sure nice and very much welcomed.
