A Beautiful Ceremony And A Beautiful Day For A Beautiful Lady

I know many of you who have been following my blog were there in person today, and I know those that could not be there were there in spirit. So I want to thank all.

For those that were not able to be there today it was a beautiful ceremony, Father Craig Hanley , Father Bill Dornbos and Deacon John Uggetti conducted a beautiful mass, and I am told that the luncheon was delicious (I just did not have a appetite to eat and tried to get around to visit folks). I did sample some of the food that was left over late this evening and it tatsted pretty darn good.

We then had a beautiful graveside ceremony and Deacon John Uggetti did a wonderful job with some assistance from several of our nephews, who gave Jennifer a good sprinkle of holy water. So she went into the Butte soil squeaky clean and extra Holy.

Below is a photo of the alter with Jennifer's Picture, Urn and flowers.

Many people have questioned me about the photo. I think I have written about it before but I honestly can't remember, so I will touch on it again. It was taken at a desert botanical garden in St George UT by our good friend Lorie Malody. The picture is just Jennifer to a "T". She has some of her favorite shoes on, a purse in her hand, sunglasses on, it was a good hair day and she has her beautiful smile on her face. So it was the obvious choice for using for Jennifer's services.

I am extremely happy to report that both purses and her Urn fit in the plastic vault that she is buried in like a glove. Once we had that accomplished I felt a great weight come off my shoulders and it made my day complete. I was a little worried that they both would not fit. That old saying of "Happy Wife, Happy Life" popped into my head. I think she will be happy

I will admit that it was hard to part with her remains, but she is where she wanted and needs to be. I will join her there sometime in the future. This next week I will be working on procuring a headstone to mark our site.

I appreciate the very kind comments that several people have given on my blog. However I have been writing it because its been therapeutic for me as I try to come to terms with the new journey I am on and I wanted to be sure that people knew how great of person Jennifer was as we worked towards todays celebration.

Once again, I am both honored and humbled by the support from both of my families and friends that came to todays celebration of Jennifer's life and for the numerous people who would have liked to have been there but could not for a variety of reasons.

Now the real grieving will start, but I feel my families and I gave the best sister, sister-in law, Aunt, friend and wife a man could ask for a decent send off and that she would be very happy.

Stuff She Is Missing
