2025 is starting out pretty much how I was fearing it would. Sadly, I fear we are going to see more of the New Orleans/Vegas type crap occurring as 2025 progresses. I hope I am wrong.

My thoughts and prayers go to the victims and their families of both these incidents. One poor guy from Pittsburgh, sure has shit for luck. He was already paralyzed from an automobile accident a few years ago and then gets run over on Bourbon Street. His family is trying to collect money for the extremely expensive wheel chair he needs so he can get out of the hospital. I just happened to see Cooper Anderson interviewing the guy in his hospital bed. If this guy did not have bad luck, he would not have any luck at all.

Today we will see if Congress can elect a House Speaker in one vote or if they will try to beat their previous record of 15 failed votes. The orange messiah has given a half hearted blessing of the current speaker, but it may not sway some of the whacko’s in the party. It will probably be more interesting viewing than some of the college bowl games scheduled to be played today. So we will see how long they can hold the country hostage this time.

At least Notre Dame won its game against Georgia in the Sugar Bowl yesterday, so they move onto the College Football semi-final playoff and will play Penn State.

The Peach Bowl was a hell of a game or at least the fourth quarter and two overtime’s were very interesting/entertaining viewing. I had pretty much wrote off AZ State in the first half but they scratched and clawed their way back into the game only to lose to Texas in the second overtime.

Last night I watched the Tax Slayer Bowl, that was a couple hours of my life I would like to have back as Ole Miss thumped Duke.

We got about 2-2.5 inches of powdery snow yesterday and it just started snowing again this morning, so my hopes of it holding off until in January 16 did not come true. I did some plowing of the main traffic areas yesterday but held off on doing all of it since we were forecasted to get more today. Makes me appreciate my choice of living in Nevada for the winters.

Well better get moving and face the day.
